TCP Acceleration
Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is a primary source of transporting protocols used
on IP networks. The purpose of the acceleration is to overcome protocol failures (TCP
or application). Indeed, many applications have been created for use on a Local Area
Network (LAN) and are now used over wide area networks (WAN).
However, these applications exchange a lot of information between the client and the
server and therefore depend on the transfer times. The primary objective of TCP
acceleration is to device means of reducing the number of network round trips
necessary for the operation of the application.
