Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a small deposit scheme of the Government of India specifically for the girl child and has been launched as a part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. To address the concerns of families who could not educate their children due to lack of money, especially girls, the government came up with Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. To make the daughters of India self-reliant, PM Modi had started Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in January 2015. This scheme is to meet the expenses of a girl's education and marriage.
