What is the exam pattern at IELTS?
IELTS is an exam measured to check a candidate’s proficiency of English language in four different sections namely Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. There are two authorities that are responsible for conducting and executing the exam namely ETS (Educational Testing Service) and British Council. There are two versions of the exam depending on the requirement of the candidate. One is Academic and the other is General category. The complete duration is 2 hour 45 minutes. The Speaking section can be taken on or before 7 days prior the LWR (Listening, Writing and Reading). The speaking section is a one-on-one test to assess Confidence and ability to deliver English language effectively.
