Are you wondering how to start a network marketing business? Read on!
Decide on a Product
You may already have a product in mind. Perhaps you already use products from a company that has a network marketing scheme.
This makes your selling task much easier because you're already a customer. You can address customer concerns. And you're already a walking 'before and after' case study.
Or you might be looking for a product to base your business on. You're going to spend a lot of time promoting it so choose something you're interested in.
Start using it as a customer before signing up to sell. Then you can be 100 percent genuine when you promote the products to your audience.
Which brings us to the next step.
Work out Your Target Audience
Say you want to start a network marketing business in the wellbeing space. You already use doTerra essential oils so you decide to sell those.
Who is your target audience going to be?
'People interested in wellbeing' isn't narrow enough. It's too broad because 'wellbeing' means different things to different people.
Narrow down the demographic (age, occupation, location, etc.) and psychographics of your audience.
Now you know who you want to attract, you can figure out what content to create that will attract them.
Maybe your target audience is millennial female entrepreneurs interested in wellbeing. Now you can create content about self-care routines if you have a side hustle. Or how to start a mindfulness routine around your business.
Your goal is to teach what you know in a way that's relevant to your target audience. Then thread the essential oil products you sell into that content.
So how will you do that?
Figure out a Marketing Strategy
Knowing your target audience will also help you figure out which platforms to use. To find millennial female entrepreneurs, try Facebook groups and Instagram.
Your content might come via live stream Q&As or short videos where you teach your content. Re-use your content for podcast episodes or Youtube videos.
If your target audience is writers, look to Twitter. Business types are often on LinkedIn. And so on.
You'll sell your products to this audience. But you'll also recruit new salespeople from the same audience. They'll likely to be users of your products and they want to share them with their audience.
