When the Blood Alcohol Concentration exceeds 80mg of alcohol per 100 mL of blood, or if a person has consumed drugs recently, and they start driving in any of these scenarios then they can be charged for Driving Under the Influence offense. This means that the driver’s judgment is impaired by alcohol or drugs, it is a criminal offence in Canada.
