Some designer stairs are entirely wooden, and usually involve replacing all stair parts, including hardwood railings, new posts or boxes, new posts, balusters and trades. Other stairs have existing iron railings or semi-walls and require only wooden stairs and sometimes need to replace the riser to complement the new wood theme starting with the choice of flooring.
