Standard pay deductions are those required by law. They include federal income tax, social security, health insurance, state income tax, and forecloses ordered by the Court. Some cities, counties, or school districts also prevail a local income tax. An employer is obliged to retain the required amounts of employee paychecks and submit them as required. There may also be voluntary wage deductions for reasons such as insurance, pension plans, or flexible expenditure accounts, according to the employer's offers.
